First Aid

A First Aid box is provided on top of the kitchen counter.

An Accident Record Book is kept and you will be asked to sign a statement of what happened in all cases, even very minor accidents. In case of a more serious accident, you or your alternative contact will be notified as soon as possible.

Parents are asked to report any accidents, even minor ones, which have taken place out of the pre-school environment to a member of staff upon arrival and Home Incident Form will be filled in and signed. All cuts must be covered before child arrives at pre-school.

Fire

Regular Fire drills are held with the children to ensure that they know the procedure should a fire occur. We have various fire exits and fire extinguishers. If you are present when a fire or a fire drill occurs please stay calm and help the staff to lead the children out of the building through the appropriate exit. In the event of a fire, there will be a long blast on a whistle and listen carefully to instructions about the appropriate exit route.

Our Assembly Point is currently the far corner of the Centre's car park, by the double gates into the school fields. This is clearly marked as 'Fire Assembley Point'.
